What is academic coaching and how will it help?

Academic coaching is the process of providing expert targeted personal support to help a student unlock their potential and boost their academic performance.

At Achieve we recognise and appreciate that most parents worry that their children may fail to live up to their academic potential.

In a world full of never-ending distractions such as social media, gaming and entertainment to name a few, it has never been more difficult for parents to ensure that their children are on track to achieve their academic goals.

A key concern of many of our clients is the worry that their child may not achieve the grades necessary to progress to study their ideal A level options or that they may not obtain offers from your target or best performing Universities.

Our experienced academic coaches will work with your child to help them develop the skills and habits required to obtain a strong set of GCSE and/or A level grades across all subjects to ensure they are in a competitive position when applying for Universities or indeed for future work employment opportunities.

By working in partnership with your child, we will help them study more effectively, become more responsible, work independently and help them to set and achieve stretching personal and academic goals.

1-2-1 Coaching Programmes

All coaching is undertaken on 1/2/1 basis with parents updated at every stage.

Our 1/2/1 coaching package offers a free initial consultation to allow you and your child the opportunity to ask any questions.

Once we understand where your child may benefit from our expert support we can show you how we will provide support to help them achieve their existing and future goals.

Our coaches are very experienced with our head coach having over 20 years of academic coaching experience in addition to having successfully completed an MBA from the University of London and a coaching course from the University of Cambridge.

We work with students all ages and a key part of any programme is to ensure that subject options at all stages (Secondary, A Level, Degree) are carefully researched based on personal interests and most importantly that students are on track to achieve the grades required.

Our academic coaching and mentoring programme have helped students obtain offers from the very best Universities including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Warwick and Kings.

Recently we have also assisted a number of students in obtaining excellent degree apprenticeship offers from some of the very best firms in the finance, consulting and technology sectors including Deloittes, PWC, KPMG, Cap Gemini and IBM.

As part of any academic programme we ensure that students from a young age are also developing as an ongoing habit, excellent all round ‘Executive Functioning’ skills that the very best Universities and potential employers will be expecting from their top candidates.
